I bought this product to complement a cordless reciprocating saw and circular saw that I owned (bought from craigslist with one battery for ridiculously cheap). The other tools were ni-cad and I wondered if the new Li-Ion batteris would be compatible, and thankfully they were! The new Li-Ion batties last much longer than their Ni-cad equivalents, they turn the recip and circular saws in unseful tools rather than me spending all my time changing out batteries.
