This blade delivers...but don't expect it to cut as smooth as a wet saw. Some chipping is inevitable when you dry cut freehand w/ a hand held grinder. While not as agressive as a turbo, it cuts significantly smoother. Very handy when you have visible notch-type cuts like around door jambs. Wouldn't even try to do this with a turbo blade. In addition to the MD 17" tile cutter, I avoided a wet saw purchase, saving me $500+. The only draw back is chipping on the top surface of the tile. But most cuts are hidden by trim or cabinets etc so not a big deal. I was able to cut a 3"x3" square section out of the dead smack middle of a tile for an electrical outlet with ease. Its flat firm base makes it easy to sand large flat surfaces with no corner rounding and no ripples. It has minimal vibration and low noise for an orbital sander. It is solidly built and has good weight to allow the tool to do the work on flat horizontal surfaces. If sanding vertical surfaces your arms may get a bit tired.
