This is a story of a comet striking earth and the aftermath for humanity. It starts well in advance with the discovery of the Hamner-Brown comet. Sometimes the timing is a little suspect. I mean the government is able to throw together a mission to space that is a joint mission with the Russians in only a couple of months. Overall, It was a great read and was exciting from start to finish. Good luck to the human race. ...more

Hammer, the well known British film studio, was known for it's horror films, but also for never failing to have one or more beautiful women in the cast. Their mix of sexiness and blood was one that would be often imitated but never duplicated. This book really does justice to the many known and unknown actresses of Hammer. Words cannot describe the awesomeness that is this book. Mr. Durrell's masterpiece demands superlatives.
